Account Settings

Manage your OpenVenue profile, update your information, and customize your account settings.

Accessing Your Profile

To access account settings:

1. Sign in to your account
2. Click **Profile** in the top navigation
3. Or navigate directly to `/profile`

Profile Information

Viewing Your Profile

Your profile page displays:

• **Name** - Your first and last name
• **Email** - Your account email address
• **Member since** - When you joined OpenVenue

Updating Your Name

1. Navigate to your profile page
2. Update your first and/or last name
3. Click **Save Changes**

You'll see a confirmation when your changes are saved.

Changing Your Password

Keep your account secure by updating your password regularly.

How to Change Your Password

1. Go to your profile page
2. Find the **Password** or **Security** section
3. Enter your new password
4. Confirm the new password
5. Click **Update Password**

Password Requirements

Your password must:

• Be at least 8 characters long
• Include uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character

Password Tips

• ✅ Use a unique password for OpenVenue
• ✅ Consider using a password manager
• ❌ Don't share your password with others
• ❌ Don't use easily guessable passwords

Email Settings

Your email is used for:

• Account login
• Booking confirmations
• Important notifications

Viewing Your Email

Your email address is displayed on your profile page.

Changing Your Email

To update your email:

1. Contact support with your request
2. Verify your identity
3. Your email will be updated

*For security, email changes may require additional verification.*

Signing Out

To sign out:

1. Click **Sign out** in the top navigation
2. You'll be returned to the homepage
